What is a sidebar?
- you can customize two of the three sidebars on the site. yours are in a gray backbround
- the default left sidebar has these options: mini dashboard, blogroll, pages, categories, and archives
- the default right sidebar has these options: recent entries, recent comments, calendar, and some social sharing sites
- you can customize your sidebars by going to your dashboard, clicking on “Presentation”, then “Widgets”.
- if you want your default sidebar back, just remove all the widgets you put on your sidebar
What is a widget?
- a widget is something that you can use to customize your sidebars
- add and remove them on your sidebar of choice (left is 1 & right is 2)
What is a plugin?
- a plugin is something you have to “activate” in your dashboard
- it adds more functionality to your blog (most commented section, etc…)
- they can be activated by logging into your dashboard, and clicking “Plugins”, then “Activate”
